On the CARNIVAL FANTASY, with these less-than-a-week adventures to Mexico, you can declare a holiday anytime you choose. And what better port of departure than New Orleans with its Cajun cooking, high-spirited lifestyle and Dixieland jazz? Your 4 day cruise sails on Thursday afternoon, giving you a long weekend on the fabulous Yucatan. In Cozumel, you can snorkel along legendary coral reefs, hunt for bargains on handicrafts and silver jewelry, relax on the golden sand of a never-crowded beach, or take an excursion to the ancient Mayan ruins high on the cliffs of Tulum. The 5 day cruise, which sails on Mondays and Saturdays, also visits Cozumel, but the extra day means an additional paradise on Mexico’s Gold Coast: Costa Maya. Once you dock, it’s just a short walk to the nearby newly built entertainment complex. This oceanside center offers beach-style restaurants, duty-free shopping, lagoons and watersports. It also has an amphitheater and a saltwater pool with a swim-up bar The Costa Maya area also boasts the ruins of several Mayan cities dating back to 350 A.D. The CARNIVAL FANTASY is the first of the Carnival "Fantasy" class ships and is a fun ship!
